FAQ
What happens when the timer runs out?
The timer is for information purposes only. When the time has elapsed, the timer continues to run in the negative to indicate the extra time taken to pick. There are no penalty options for those who exceed the time allowed at this time.
Can we pause the draft or run it on multiple days?
Unfortunately, it is not possible to pause a draft when it is started. However, there are no consequences for leaving the draft running, other than to see the time elapsing in negative for a draft pick. So you can take a break and the timer will simply continue to run. You can then resume whenever you want, even the next day.
Is it possible to draft teams?
Yes, you can draft all the players and teams that are available in the draft list.
Do the drafted players still appear in the list of available players?
No, drafted players are removed from the free agent list. It is therefore not possible the same player to be drafted by more than one participant during a draft session.
Is it possible to use a salary cap?
Yes, you can set a salary cap. However, you must enter it on the website since this parameter does not yet exist in our mobile apps. So, you can go to the GENERAL RULES section on our website to specify your salary cap. Then, the draft session will take into account the salaries of each player. There is no indication on the total used so far, but if a pick would cause the cap to be exceeded, then it will be rejected.
Is it possible to set restrictions by position, e.g. choose 6 forwards, 2 defensemen, etc?
At time time, our draft system is very simple and it is not possible to manage the number of players per position. So if your pool has restrictions per player position, it is very important to notify each participant of these restrictions so that everyone complies with the rules of the pool. The administrator can always make changes after the draft is over.
I started the draft to test the feature, how can I stop it?
You cannot stop a draft once it is started. Contact us so we can reset it for you.
What to do if a participant chooses the wrong player?
The pool administrator can EDIT a player in the list of past picks, but must use the EDIT option. It is not possible to remove, add, or trade picks while the draft is active, only the EDIT function.
Is it possible to participate with a computer?
The draft session is available on our mobile applications only. So, you must be able to install our application on your phone or tablet (Android or iOS).
Please note however that if some participants do not have the app, the pool administrator can make the picks for them. In this case, these participants can simply send their picks by email, video conference, or other means to the administrator who can make the selection for them.
I want to make sure that everything will go well, is there anything I shouldn't forget?
The most important thing is to make sure that you enter each participant's email address correctly AND that each participant connects to the mobile app WITH THE SAME ADDRESS. We also advise you to read the procedure for a hassle-free draft.
And don't forget that as the pool administrator, you can pick for anyone in the pool in case they are late, absent, technical issues, etc.
